I have tried many setting powders over the years from drug store to department store brands. My conclusion is that the best setting powder of all time is the Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil. I'm actually really surprised it's not as talked about as other powders that don't work as well (i.e. Maybelline Dream Matte Power, everybody's favorite). The mineral veil is a translucent finishing powder for mineral foundation, but I use it to set my liquid foundation. One of the reasons mineral veil is a must-have product for me is that it really does a great job in controlling and minimizing oil from my face. Of all the products I've tried, mineral veil is hands down the best in absorbing oil and really lasts throughout the day. If you're looking for something that will set your makeup and really help control oil, then take my advice and try the mineral veil.
